The public is invited to join the Sierranaders as they present their anual cabaret dinner and a show tonight in Auburn and tomorrow night at the Senior Center Building at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
Cliff Johnson has been singing with the group for about 5 years but says the Barbershop Harmony Society with its 4 part harmony has been around for a long time.
“It’s the local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, which was formed back in 1938 and we sing four part harmony acapella. That means there are no instruments involved, only voice.”
I Johnson says it s a great deal you get a sit down Lasagna dinner and a show for $15, and he says they’re always looking for men to come join us in our singing.
“There are a lot of people that believe, and I think it’s true, that singing or doing anything with music helps enrich your life and keeps you living longer.”
It’s good old time music with words you can understand.
