A listener came into the office last week with a story they wanted to share. I was unable to visit with them at the time but later found this note in my mailbox. It’s a story well worth sharing. A story of thanks.
“Paul had been sick, on dialysis, for seven or eight years. A woman named Shannon Cotter gave him one of her kidneys. He left the hospital after only four days. He has been out for eight days and they are already lowering his anti rejection drugs. Paul thinks Shannon is a hero and deserves a big pat on the back.”
In this world where so many appear to be selfish and self serving, this story is one of selflessness and hope. Thank you Shannon Cotter. You are today’s hero.
