St. Piran's Day Pasty Toss Teams Needed

The Annual St. Piran’s Day festivities are set for Saturday March 10th in down town Grass Valley, highlighted by the Pasty Toss. Julia Jordan with the Grass Valley downtown association says they are signing up teams now.

“We haven’t had anyone really challenge. I know that Debbie Lang from Ron Lang’s Attorney at Law office. They’re going to toss pasties. We are still trying to get the mayors to challenge one another, but we haven’t got confirmation on that. I believe Kiwanis is going against Rotary but we’ve got to get going on those sign ups because I don’t have enough.”

You can call the Grass Valley Downtown Association to enter a team at 272-8315 and you can enter the day of the event which includes the Cornish Male Voice Choir, Cornish vendors and bring your dog to this very dog friendly event as the pasties for the toss are made from dog food and largely cleaned up by the attending pets.
