Stabbing Suspect Awaits Arraignment at Wayne Brown Correctional Facility

The suspect in a stabbing in Lake Wildwood over the weekend is now in jail. Daniel Colondres was accused of stabbing two people in a home. A neighbor heard the stabbing and fought the suspect with a golf club. When Colondres was contacted he was taken to Sutter Roseville Hospital for treatment of a head injury. Nevada County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Powell says Colondres was released from the hospital Tuesday evening and immediately arrested.

“Colondres was released from Sutter Roseville yesterday evening and transported by our officers to Wayne Brown where he is in custody there on a million dollars bail where he will be facing arraignment shortly.”

Captain Powell says both the victim have also been released from the hospital. The arraignment for Colondres will take place this week. The District Attorney is charging him with several counts of attempted murder and additional charges related to the stabbing.
