A bill banning single use plastic bags in California has stalled in the Assembly. Nevada County Assemblyman Brian Dahle is a member of the Natural Resources Subcommittee and spoke out against the bill in Monday’s session of the Assembly.
Dahle also says that another issue is with the amount of resources it takes to recycle plastic.
The bill died with 38 votes, but Dahle thinks it will be resurrected and move along.
The Assembly has until August 31 to approve the bill along.
