Stolen Car Leads Law Enforcement to Other Stolen Items

The report of a stolen car had three law enforcement agencies looking for the woman responsible. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says Saturday afternoon the department took a report of a stolen car in the area of Whispering Pines Lane.   Captain Marks says 37 year old Jamie Hannahs was found in the stolen car, near the airport, by Grass Valley Police, CHP and Sheriff’s Deputies. She attempted to flee by hiding in an open storage unit near the airport.

“In addition, the storage unit was found to contain numerous items believed to be stolen from a number of different locations throughout Nevada County. Investigation is still pursuing that; the leads on those items and their owners.”

Hannahs was taken into custody for suspicion of possession of a stolen car, receiving stolen property and being under the influence of illegal drugs. The investigation into the suspected stolen property in the storage unit is still ongoing.
