Stuff the Pack Boot Drive was Huge Success in Truckee

A fund raiser patterned after the fill the boot campaign called the Stuff Pack was held in Truckee, this last Saturday. Sheriff’s Corporal Bill Netherby says the Stuff the Backpack campaign was held by member of the search and rescue team in Truckee and the people of the area were generous in their donations.

“We had our stuff the pack fundraiser this weekend on the 18th and we raised approximately $14,000.”

The money will be used for training and equipment for the all volunteer force to conducted search and rescue operations throughout the Nevada County and surrounding areas. Search team members are called by other law enforcement agencies throughout the state to assist in finding lost people, bodies and evidence.
