Supervisor Lamphier to Hold Town Hall Meeting

Nevada County District 3 supervisor Terry Lamphier will hold a town hall meeting to present information on the county budget, its impact on county services and other issues affecting Nevada County tomorrow evening in Grass valley.(Tuesday February 21).  County CEO Rick Haffey has been invited to speak on the challenges in the County Budget during tight times and Sheriff Keith Royal will speak on the affects of Realignment that is sending State prisoners to County jails, and about the medical marijuana nuisance abatement ordinance that is being formed. Supervisor Lamphier says he has also invited Health and Human Services Agency Director, Jeff Brown to speak on social services available to county residents

“I’ve requested that he give kind of an update for the community of what the county offers for folks that have been impacted by the downturn in the economy. I think there are some people that are new to, perhaps, qualifying and needing county services and I want to make sure that the community knows what those are.”

Supervisor Lamphier’s Town Hall meeting will be at 6:30 pm tomorrow evening at the Moose Lodge, 15694 Allison Ranch Road in Grass Valley.
