It’s the holiday season and my guests today (12:30-1:00) will be talking about two must-do happenings in our area. The first half of the show I’ll be talking with Yelena Holt about the upcoming production of Clara and the Nutcracker–an adaptation of the traditional Christmas ballet. The ballet will take place on December 11 and 12 at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center. Performance begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 general admission; $12 for children at the Miners Foundry or Briarpatch. More info at www.holtballetconservatory.org.
After the break, I’ll be talking to Julia Jordan about Cornish Christmas in Grass Valley where musicians, merchants, food vendors and more take to the festive downtown streets on Friday nights from 6-9 p.m. November 29 through December 20, 2013. Join the fun and partake in ….Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Santa chuckling with the children, handcrafted gifts for purchase, Cornish Carolers, entertainers, and a variety of foods to choose from.
