The Friendship Club Spaghetti Dinner

The Friendship Club of Nevada County, serving younger disadvantaged children, is hosting a Spaghetti dinner and auction fundraiser for after school and summer programs including visits to college campuses, museums, summer camp and enrichment programs.  the Dinner will be May 12th at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall .  The members of the Friendship Club will be preparing the meal complete with garlic bread, salad and dessert. Patricia and Tonie express the importance of having the friendship club.

Friendship Club Members

The Friendship Club is a year-around program that serves one hundred girls in sixth through twelfth grades. The girls come from all areas of western Nevada County. The work of The Friendship Club is strongly supported by the local community. Most of the funding comes from individuals and businesses in the area. Over two hundred community members volunteer to help The Friendship Club accomplish its mission of mentoring and offering guidance to its members.

Chaplain Dennis Fruzza

The American Legion Post 130 G.V. is sponsoring this event. Sponsorship allows the organization to use the kitchen and the dining hall at no charge. We recognize the importance of the goal this organization has expressed.
