Law enforcement is cracking down on local gold buyers allegedly purchasing stolen gold from area burglaries. Nevada County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Steve Tripp says investigators were told jewelry stolen from homes in the county were being sold to local dealers after the gold was melted down.
