Three Arrested in Attempted Medical Marijuana Theft

Three people are under arrest after shots were fired when they tried to steal medical marijuana. Yuba County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Damon Gil says Deputies responded to a home on Laurellen Road north of Marysvile, just after six in this morning,  (Monday). Lieutenant Gil says they believe the three people in custody fired the shots. He says no one was injured in the shooting. Deputies found a car and a man in the car.

“When they arrived on scene they did locate a vehicle that they believe could have been involved in the incident. They were able to detain a subject in that vehicle. We also set a perimeter around a large portion of the area and we located two other subjects who were also detained and arrested for the crime.”

28 year old Joshua Johnson and 23 year old Paris Wood both of Fairfield were taken into custody along with a third unidentified person. Deputies recovered fifteen marijuana plants taken in the theft.
