It’s a case of three strikes and you’re out….
A suspect goes to jail on a number of charges when he can’t identify himself to law enforcement. Grass Valley police responded to a call of a man causing a nuisance on the corner of Neal and Mill Streets Monday evening. Officers made contact with the suspect near the Grass Valley Library.
The officers then asked the suspect for his identification. At that time things became interesting.
The officer had the suspect try again.
24 year old Steven Newberry was also charged with bringing drugs into the jail.
