Traffic Stop Becomes Short Chase for GVPD

A Penn Valley man is under arrest after trying to flee from the Police. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says Officers tried to stop a car with 31 year old Michael Gordon of Penn valley who was a passenger, Wednesday afternoon. The Captain says as soon as the emergency lights on the patrol car were turned on, the car fled. The car fled to a dead end street at the Berryhill apartments. The Captain says three people fled.

“The vehicle attempted to flee towards the apartment complex on West Berryhill. The vehicle, having no alternative exit, the occupants bailed from the vehicle. There were three occupants on foot pursued by officers.”

Gordon was captured and found to have several warrants for his arrest and over a pound of marijuana. He was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
