Truckee Selects New Police Chief

The Town of Truckee has selected a new Police Chief. Town manager Tony Lashbook says the offer has been made to Adam McGill. Lashbrook says the communication with McGill has been challenging. McGill is currently training Police managers in Iraq. Lashbook says McGill was the best of the seventy-five applicants that applied for the position.

“He impressed out panel and processes being extremely articulate and possessed knowledge beyond his 20 years of experience in law enforcement. He has a high level of enthusiasm and passion for policing, police chiefing in a smaller community.”

McGill will be the fourth Police Chief since the town formed their department in 2001. Chief McGill is married with two children. Lashbook says the new Chief has extensive experience in the central valley of California with law enforcement.
