Two Car Collision at Bear River Sends One to Hospital

Two cars collided at the entrance to Bear River High School, Saturday night. CHP Public Information Officer Mark Morrison says a 19 year old man from Meadow Vista was pulled over into the Bear River High School driveway in his 2006 Subaru. Officer Morrison says the driver then made a left hand turn, on to Magnolia Road into the path of another car.

“And for undetermined reasons at this point, as the second vehicle was approaching, the vehicle parked in the driveway initiated a left turn directly into the path of the other gentleman.”

Officer Morrison says the driver of a 2006 Toyota tried to swerve to avoid the collision, but was not able to. A passenger in the Toyota received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Sierra Nevada Hospital.
