The Tahoe National Forest reports, lightning and spotty rain continued across the TNF yesterday. The following fires have been contained/controlled: Mears, French, Disney, Boca Springs and Groundhog. In addition the Reservoir Fire – on the north shore of Stampede Reservoir was also contained and is out. The Middle Fire located approximately 9 miles northeast of Foresthill in the Peavine area was contained at 1/3 acre yesterday afternoon.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms on both sides of the sierra crest may continue. Storms will not be as widespread today and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday) as a high pressure rebuilds.
