Veterans 9-11 Tribute at the Fairgrounds

In conjunction with the 12th annual Cruisin’ the pines car show, the 5 local veterans groups will be coming together for a 9-11 tribute at 9am on Sunday, September the 11th. Frank Stanovich with the local American Legion encourages the community to come out to the fairgrounds for the remembrance.

“I hope everybody will come out to the fairgrounds where the American Legion Honor Guard is going to be out there with the car club. They’re going to be putting on a car show and we’re going to do the raising of the flag and the firing of the three volleys and that will be at 9:00 in the morning. Our Honor Guard, we call the “All Veterans Honor Guard” because that’s what it is. It’s all the veterans from all five of these organization, we have members that do the honors for our fallen veterans.”

The Roamin’ Angels car show is Saturday and Sunday with over 800 classic cars on display, classics, hot rods, customs and vintage vehicles. Admission is $5 for a weekend pass and $5 dollar visitor parking is available.
