The Victorian Christmas kicks off this Wednesday December 7th in downtown Nevada City with more vendors, new entertainment, and Indoor Venues. Event Organizer, Janet Cohen says there will be new shows on two stages featuring storytelling, magic shows and traditional music.
“I’m at Emily’s Catering on Commercial Street. We’re going to have a ghost story venue, which is great because Emily’s Catering is supposed to be haunted and we’re using lots of little spaces like the New York Hotel. There are going to be stringed instruments, I believe, and flute music. The Classic Café is going to have music as well as the National Bar.”
The Victorian Christmas runs Wednesday nights December 7th, 14th and 21st from 5 to 9 pm and Sunday December 11th and 18th from 1:30 to 6pm. There is no admission charge. Visitors can drop off their friends and family at town and then take the $5 shuttle bus service from the Eric Rood Center. Everyone takes the shuttle back for free.
