Volleyball? More Like Fireball!

The Lady Bruins varsity volleyball team was on fire this year! They started off their season strong with placing first in the PVL.  Then came sections. Sections for some may seem intimidating but for this team it was another piece of cake. Having what seemed like no competition, the Lady Bruins became the 2012-2013, Division 4, Sac Joaquin Section champions. Having done so well, the girls were ready for the NorCal playoffs. Their first game was against Cardinal Newman. The Cardinal Newman game played out in  the Bruin’s favor. The first game was 25-20 Cardinal Newman, second 16-25 Bruins, third 28-30 Bruins, and then 20-25 Bruins. This win led them to their second round of NorCal Playoffs which took place on the 24th. However, the second round did not go as smoothly as the first. The girls played Sacred Heart Prep. Sacred Heart Prep ended up winning 3 out of 4, bumping Bear River out of playoffs. The Lady Bruins have nothing to be ashamed of, for they had an outstanding season.
