Weather Causes Morning Accident on McCourtney Road

An early morning accident on McCourtney Road was weather related according to the CHP. Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the accident happened near Wolf Road at 6AM Monday morning. The Driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Blazed lost control and ran through a fence.

“According to his own statement, as he was coming out of a curve, lost control on the wet pavement, slid off the road and first ran into a wire fence and then into a tree.”

Officer Morrison says there was heavy rain on the road when the driver lost control. He said this illustrate the need to slow down during bad weather.  The driver did not suffer serious injury in the accident. One can only hope the driver has a better rest of the day as it is his birthday today.
