What’s new at the Fair

Tomorrow is opening day at the Nevada County Fair. It runs Wednesday through Sunday August 10th thru the 14th.  Fair CEO Sandy Woods says there are some new attractions and some returning exhibits this year.

“We’re bringing back Agsperience that we started last year. It’s being expanded and it’ll be bigger and better and more interesting. It’s just across from the livestock office. It’s focused on local agriculture. There are games and interactive displays going on, Master Gardeners, resource conservation, small animal exhibits are going to be in the cattle barns up in the Agsperience area, there’s the chick hatching exhibit, the embryology. Gosh, there’s a lot going on at this year’s fair.”

Another new attraction is an exotic animal exhibit that will be right below ponderosa hall.  And the Fairgrounds foundation is creating a new beer concession booth up in the garden area at Ponderosa Hall.
