Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release is Looking for Volunteers

Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release is looking for volunteers to help native wildlife. WR&R is holding its annual recruitment from 9:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon on March 3rd at the United Methodist Church at 236 South Church Street in Grass Valley. Joan Pancharian a volunteer says they are looking for all sorts of people who care about our local wildlife.

“It takes a variety of different kinds of people because the intake center requires office skills and if you’re working with small mammals or small raptors or small birds. If you’ve had any kind of medical background, that would be helpful and also there’s non-skilled kinds of jobs like just transporting animals and taking animals to the doctor.”

There is a $15 registration fee which covers snacks, lunch, beverages, and a raffle ticket for a chance to win great prizes. For more information and to sign up for this event you can call Laurel Gunderson at 277-2121.
