Wolfe Road DUI Accident Injures Two Passengers

The CHP reports an accident last Thursday evening on Wolfe Road that resulted in one drivers arrest for Felony DUI.  Officer Mark Morrison reports the accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m.

“A male driver who was driving a Chevy Blazer, lost control on the wet pavement and it caused the vehicle to swerve across the double yellow lines and into the path of the victim vehicle, which was a Honda Civic.”

A passenger in the Honda Civic was flown to Sutter Roseville with complaints of neck and back pain and a passenger in the Blazer was taken by ambulance to Auburn Faith hospital with complaints of pain. They were both treated and released.

Officer Morrison says subsequent to the investigation the Driver of the Chevy Blazer, 43 year old Raul Ruiz of Hayward, Ca, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and Felony DUI for driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury to another party.
