Woman Fills out Raffle Ticket That Leads to her Arrest

A Penn Valley woman gave law enforcement officials her name and where she could be found after allegedly committing a theft. Nevada County Undersheriff Henry Serrano says 20 year old Elizabeth Null went into a hydroponics business in Penn Valley on Friday. She was seen on video tape stuffing items into her purse. As she was leaving the business Under Sheriff Serrano says the woman stopped to fill out a raffle ticket supplying her personal information.

“The young woman was shopping in one of the hydroponic stores in Penn Valley. She went in and it’s alleged that she shoplifted. They catch her on tape picking up a couple bottles of product and putting them in her purse. Before she left, she filled out a raffle ticket that provided her name, address and phone number.”

Null was taken into custody at her home for petty theft and receiving stolen property. She was booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
