Woman on Jail Pass Escapes

With dwindling law enforcement resources, officers are being asked to find a jail inmate again. Nevada County Sheriff Keith royal says an inmate from the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility is classified as a escapee. The Sheriff says 43 year old Elizabeth Monk was released from the facility to attend to personal business, and failed to return. The Sheriff explains why the woman was released.

“The judge felt that she was not an escape risk and gave her a pass.”

The Sheriff is asking that if anyone has information on Monk’s location to contact the Sheriff’s office at 265-7880.
