Woman Run Over by her Own Car

The driver of a car in Grass Valley was run over by her own car. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says the accident was reported just after eight in the evening on Chapel Street. The Captain says a 74 year old woman parked her car to assist her husband into the car. Captain Marks says as the woman walked around the car, the car struck her and ran over the woman.

The husband saw what was happening and grabbed onto the door handle to attempt to stop the car from rolling over his wife; he was not able to stop the car. The woman suffered a broken ankle in the accident. Captain Marks says neighbors and passerby assisted till the Police and emergency personnel arrived.
