Women Of Worth HO HO HO Program Needs Angels

Woman of Worth has been helping families in need at Christmas through their HO HO HO program and this year Executive Director Sandy Schmidt says the need is greater than ever.

“We thought last year was bad, but this year seems to be worse and our numbers are less this year than we have accepted simply because we have a limit on how many years they can apply unless there are special circumstances.”

Schmidt says you can hand pick from 37 families to adopt for Christmas to help but you need to come to their Spring Hill Dr. office at 143 in suite F by the close of business Thursday.

“We have binders that show the families. So they can hand pick the family, read their story. It doesn’t tell their names but it tells their story, why they’re in the program and what their needs are. So they can pick a small, medium or large sized family. The families in need right now range in size from a family size of two to a family size of five. So they’re not large families but they are pretty amazing families and we’d like to be able to give them a good Christmas.”

Woman of Worth is a local nonprofit assisting families in crisis and domestic violence victims to increase self-reliance, and improve quality of life by rebuilding lives with dignity, hope and safety.
