Workshop To Assist Unemployed Professionals

Though there are signs of economic recovery in California, not everyone that lost a job during the recession has re-gained meaningful employment. There are still a number of unemployed professionals that have yet to land in a position equal to the one they lost. To help unemployed professionals get back on track, the California Employers Association and The One-Stop Business & Career Center in Grass Valley are offering a unique training program called Professional Edge. Director, Daniela Devitt, and Program Manager Jessica MirabileĀ  say the 16 week program focuses on getting professionals back to work.

According to Devitt the program has a success rate of over 80% of participants re-employed in less than eight months and as many as 35% employed before completing the program.
