Young Boy Helps Catch Bike Thief

A 10 year old boy who had his bicycle stolen from in front of his apartment helped catch the man who took it. Grass Valley Police Sgt Steve Johnson says the bicycle was stored beneath the stairwell at the young boy’s apartment complex around 6:00 PM.

The young boy was able to give responding police officers a detailed description of the man and his bicycle and the direction in which he was headed.

Torn,-Tyler1The suspect, 18 year old Tyler Torn, was taken into custody for the bike theft plus an outstanding warrant for Grand Theft as well as being in possession of stolen property. The bicycle was returned to the 10 year boy.
