10-Digit Dialing Mandate Begins Sunday

A reminder that beginning on Sunday, residents who use nine California area codes, including the 530 area code, will be required to include the area code when making any call. That’s due to a change in federal rules aimed at providing easier access to crisis resources nationwide. Calls attempted without an area code will not be completed, and you’ll get a recording informing you to hang up and try again.
