10th Annual MEB11 Turkey Trot Draws Record

The Tenth annual Michael Bratton the second Turkey Trot run walk and kids race went off without a hitch at Nevada Unions Hooper Stadium this morning. As of yesterday afternoon already 2-thousand people had registered for the run walk event. Bratton family member Jennifer Maier says they were kept hopping from noon to 2 yesterday as people were registering or picking up their packets.

She says the brief snow yesterday was a bit disappointing, but the skies are clear today ..

People who just want to come and socialize and cheer on the runners are also welcome this morning..

The Turkey trot is a run walk and kids race event. It is also the final race of the Grand Prix Series of races.  Proceeds from the event go back into the community to youth programs and to depression and suicide prevention and to the A New Day counseling center.
