As football games get underway this evening…the local community will be mourning the loss of Nevada Union High School football player Mitch Adams. The 16 year old was driving to school Monday morning when he lost control of his Toyota Camry on Bittney Springs road near Newtown road. He suffered very serious injuries and was flown to the Sutter Roseville Trauma where he lingered in a coma until last evening when he passed away. Family members and friends had gathered at the hospital in support of Mitch. Thoughts and prayers go out to Mitch’s family and to his many friends. His mother says on a Facebook page that was set up for updates on his medical condition that Mitch had signed up to be an Organ Donor when he got his drivers license. She says Mitch will survive in the lives of others. He took such great and dedicated care of his young and strong body that this will be a very generous gift.
