2018 Amgen Tour Skips Nevada City, Grass Valley

The route for the 2018 Amgen Tour of California bicycle race has been announced, and western Nevada County is not included again this year. The men’s race will start May 13 in Long Beach, and finish six days later in Sacramento. There is a Folsom to South Lake Tahoe stage, which will be Friday May 18. The women’s race will be a three-day event, and will finish in Sacramento with the men on May 19. It will begin in Elk Grove and also have a stage in South Lake Tahoe. The last time the race went through Nevada City and Grass Valley was 2015. Nevada City was the start of the first-ever Amgen Tour race, in 2005.
