204 Pounds of Marijuana Located in U-Haul

What started as a routine traffic stop for suspected DUI turned into one of the larger marijuana busts in the county. The incident began when a CHP officer spotted a U-Haul driving westbound on Highway 20 near Pleasant Valley Road that was handling as if the driver might be impaired. Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettitt says the CHP officer initiated a traffic stop.

Officers then conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.

A total of 204 pounds of processed marijuana impounded during the search.
Michael Blue was subsequently arrested and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for possession of marijuana for sale and transport of marijuana for sale. His bail was set at 150,000 dollars…. Blue has since made bail and is no longer in custody.
