Man Accused of Ripping Off Family Members

Family members suspicious of another family member taking advantage of an elderly relative led to the arrest of a Truckee man Wednesday afternoon. According to Truckee Police Captain Harwood Mitchell, the suspect, 48 year old Richard Copeland of Truckee, was working a complex financial angle against the relative.

Because of the age of the alleged victims additional charges were also included.

Copeland is being held at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on 25,000 bail.
