35th Annual Gold Country Yacht club Regatta this Weekend

The Go for the Gold Regatta is being put on by the Gold Country Yacht Club at Scotts Flatt Lake this Saturday and Sunday. Close to 50 sailboats of various sizes will be racing on the Lake to win the coveted First Place trophy’s which are a Gold Pan with some real gold in it. The races will cover several classes from the smaller one man sale boats to the two man crew sailboats  all the way to keel boats up to 25 feet in length. Publicity and Membership Chair Hugh Talman says the club also has some of it’s own boats that can be used to teach people how to sail.
