3rd Suspect in Penn Valley Home Invasion Robbery Arrested

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of the 3rd suspect 26 year old Willard Ernst of Penn Valley wanted in the home invasion robbery in Penn Valley February 27th. Detectives and Narcotics officers with the Nevada County Sheriff’s office were informed that the suspect was at his Penn Valley home. According to Detective Sergeant Guy Sellick deputies followed the suspect to the area of Dorsey and East main in Grass Valley where the stop was made.

 

Ernst was arrested on the warrant for home invasion and taken into custody. The vehicle a spray painted light pink older SUV. Detective Sergeant Sellick says evidence was taken from the vehicle. A 4th suspect is still at large. The home invasion robbery occurred on February 27th in big Oak Valley. Two suspects are already in jail in connection with the crime that left two homeowners bound and tied in their home and guns and marijuana taken. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says investigators are still working to identify the fourth suspect, in the robbery. A large quantity of marijuana and firearms were taken in the robbery some of it has been recovered.
