4-H Youth Gets President’s Volunteer Award

For the third time this year, a 4-H Youth from the Nevada and Placer County area has received a President’s Volunteer Service Award. This one goes to 18-year-old Dannon Ivey, a senior at Bear River High School. The award recognizes Americans of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of time to serve their communities. Brian says other notable community service roles for Ivey include serving as a 4-H Summer Camp Director and as a Nevada County 4-H All Star. She says he’s a great example of how the Youth Development program provides opportunities to build life skills…

Ivey has also served the community through Bear River High School’s FFA and the Gold Country Stampede Lacrosse program. He will be attending Carroll University in Wisconsin in the fall.
