49th Annual Constitution Day Parade

From Marching Presidents, Color Guards, and Nevada City Police Department’s new Canine Officer, Rudiger, The Constitution Day Parade celebrated it’s 49th annual run down Broad Street in Nevada City yesterday. The celebration began with a re-enactment of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.

The parade was started by the Nevada 13 Masonic Lodge, located on Commercial street according to Alexander Hamilton.

Madelyn Helling, former Nevada County head Librarian  was enjoying the parade from the sidewalk this year though she has been in the parade several times in the past. She says she wouldn’t miss it.
