A $500 reward is posted for the return of Bud, a 9 month old blue nose pitbull who was taken from Sammie’s Friends Animal Shelter Saturday morning. Cheryl Wicks says volunteers reported seeing the woman three different times, Wednesday and Friday when she asked questions and took Bud out for a walk. Then Saturday morning she came into the shelter put a leash on Bud and walked him out to her truck and left.

Bud came to the shelter last week after Wicks got a call from a Placer County Sheriff’s detective who found Bud during a pot farm bust and felt he was worth rescuing., .*

It wasn’t long before a couple adopted Bud. They were going to pick him up Sunday…the day after he was dognapped.
