Dr. Evans wants to assure the community that Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital is in good financial shape and with 800 employees it is the largest employer in Nevada County. Who own’s the hospital? He says, you do.
Evans says 76 percent of the hospital’s employees live here and that creates a huge multiplier effect on the local economy, with an overall impact of $149 million dollars a year staying local.

Having had the honor and pleasure of working with and under the direction of SNMH's former Medical Director, Dr. Stuart Fleming at the time, Dr. Evans was a welcomed and gifted addition to our community and Emergency Department's medical team. Due to Dr. Fleming's legacy and Dr. Evans' continued example of compassionate care and leadership, my personal experiences in the ER have always been met with wonderful care and friendly, compassionate physicians and staff! I know that Dr. Evans will leave us with no less than a worthy successor in his position. Thank you, Dr. Evans for your heart-given service to our community and its families!
