A Father’s Day tradition continues in Nevada City on Sunday. It’s the 54th annual Nevada City Bicycle Classic. Bike shop owner, organizer, City Councilman and racer Duane Strawser says this is a favorite for the cyclists themselves, because of the crowds they get.

The event begins with the kids parade at 12:45, then races on the hour throughout the afternoon…

Racers move counterclockwise through downtown Nevada City down Broad Street to Union Alley, up Commercial Street to York, then North Pine to Cottage Street, to Main Street, and back to Broad. Some top professionals will be on hand.
