The Annual Mike Bratton II Turkey Trot drew a record number of particpants spectators and volunteers Thanksgiving morning. The Turkey Trot is organized by the Mike Bratton Family with daughter Jennifer taking the lead. Mike Bratton was excited about the turnout that continues to grow each year and the organizations it benefits.

Around 2000 runners and walkers participated in The Turkey Trot this year with another 200 volunteers supporting the event and several hundred people just out cheering on the runners and enjoying the festive activities.
The Turkey Trot, born from the tragic circumstances of Mike Bratton II taking is life due to depression seven years ago, directly benefits Anew Day Counseling Services which provides depression awareness, suicide prevention, and general counseling services for Nevada County residents in need.
