A July 4th Safety Message from Sheriff Royal

The 4th of July this year is a tense time for law enforcement according to Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal.

Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says from the standpoint of Nevada County that is a minimal issue, but he does have other concerns.

And there is that other big concern…the use of illegal fireworks and the threat of fire.

If you see neighbors shooting off bottle rockets or other fire hazards Sheriff Royal asks that you call the Sheriff’s office at 265-1471. And if you see a fire…call 9-1-1.
