It was a 28-year-old man from Eureka who was killed in a solo vehicle crash in Nevada County over the weekend. But his name is still not available. CHP Officer James Cornwall says the man was driving a pickup southbound on McCourtney Road, north of Indian Springs Road, late Friday night, when he failed to negotiate a curve…
The report says the pickup collided with dense vegetation and an oak tree, where the man was found dead in the driver’s seat…
An extensive search of the surrounding area was also conducted to ensure there were no other victims, as a result of the collision. The report also states that there was a moderate mix of rain and snow at the time, but it’s not known if that also contributed to the crash. The Highway Patrol is still seeking more information from the public. (Their number is 477-4900).
