ADI Defends Evidence

Following a decision from the Nevada County Fairgrounds Board of Directors to honor a contract with Have Trunk Will Travel to provide live elephant rides at the Nevada County Fair this summer, the company that provided the evidence of alleged elephant abuse wants to respond to claims that there evidence was inaccurate. Animal Defenders International President, Jan Creamer says the video they produced has not been edited or taken out of context.

The Fairgrounds Board of Directors President Tom Browning says the Board heard almost two hours of public comment both for and against bringing the elephants to the Fair before making there decision.

Most of the people who spoke against bringing the elephants to the Fair were shocked when the Board took no action.
The Nevada County Fair, Under the Big Top, runs August 7-11 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
