Administrative Changes at Pleasant Ridge School District

Three changes at the administrative level are happening at the Pleasant Ridge School District. Britta Skavdahl, superintendent of Pleasant Ridge, resigned from the district and is moving on to serve as superintendent for the Stanislaus Union School District in Modesto.  Shar Johns, principal of Cottage Hill School, resigned in order to work with County Superintendent of Schools, Holly Hermansen, as county Associate Superintendent of Education Services.  Mark Rodriguez, principal of Alta Sierra School, was released and will be replaced by Gregg Motarjeme, who is currently vice principal of Magnolia Intermediate.

Skavdahl said her decision to move to Stanislaus was motivated by a desire to be closer to her mother.  Johns is taking a promotion to work at the county. The other administrative changes are part of a realignment to consolidate administrative services in order to reduce costs.

Along with hiring a Superintendent, the district is also looking to hire two vice principals.
