Air Advisory in Effect Again Today Due to Fires

An Air Quality Advisory for Sensitive Individuals is still in effect for Nevada County due to smoke coming from nearby fires. Gretchen Bennitt with the local Air District says the bad air for the most part is coming from the King Fire burning in the Pollock Pines area of El Dorado County.

Bennitt says she talked with air district meteorologists this morningĀ  and they have some good news.

She says the effects of the Delta Breeze could impact out area later today.

The current advisory is “Unhealthy for Sensitive Individuals,” and that includes children, exercising adults, pregnant women, the elderly, or anyone with existing respiratory conditions or cardio vascular problems.
