Air Quality District Advisory

The Northern Sierra Air Quality Control Management District has issued a health advisory due to the smoke that  is coming into Nevada County from area fires.

If you smell smoke, or see smoke around you, consider restricting your outside activities. Bennitt says the particulate matter will be heavy at times.

Healthy people should delay strenuous exercise, particularly when they can smell smoke, and children should  avoid outdoor activities and prolonged exertion.

The air quality health advisory is issued for high smoke and ozone levels.
